Sport holds an important place in our life. Sport helps people to stay in good shape, keeps them fit, healthy and makes them more organized and better disciplined in their daily activities.
Every day we can hear everything about sports: about games, competitions, athletes and simply sports news. We can find information in newspapers, on TV or on the radio. There are some special sports channels on TV. They are very popular and we can watch something practically every day.
Sport is popular with the people of different ages. Children go to sports clubs and train at PE lessons. Adults and young people do sports too. Some peopledo to the swimming pool regularly, for example. And other people take part at the Olympic Games. There is a tradition to divide sport into professional and amateur. Many people devote their life to professional sport, take part in different competitions, Olympic Games, and win medals and so on. But there are many negative factors. For example, athletes are forced to sacrifice a lot of things. It`s not good.
So, many people do different kinds of sports, but some other people say that they like sports and think about watching a football game at a stadium, or on TV while sitting in a comfortable arm — chair. But watching sports events and going in for sports are two different things. Of course, going in for sports is the best. There are many stadiums, sports ground, sports clubs. And the government pays great attention to sports development. There is great enthusiasm for sport of every kind in the country, and any boy or girl who shows good results at sports clubs orat athletics competitions for schoolchildren, is given every help to become a champion.
So, people should go in for sports! Because they can`t become healthier, stronger, worse disciplined and so on without sport exercises…
